Kat Stott and Steve Petford are traditional boatbuilders based in Portesham, a small village in West Dorset. It’s virtually impossible to work with wood and not fall in love with it as a natural material, which is why in their spare time they use the wood not suitable for boatbuilding to experiment with creating homewares and decorations. They love working with wood as a natural, sustainable material and usually work with British species such as Oak and Sweet Chestnut. They aim for their work to be practical, elegant and unique.
