Tine Bladbjerg was born in Aarhus, Denmark but grew up in China and Belgium as well as in Denmark. After finishing the European School in Brussels she moved to England to study Jewellery Design at the Kent Institute of Art and Design in Rochester, Kent. While at the institute she did a six month work placement at De Vroomen Design in London, a five week placement at County Classics Jewellers in Hatton Garden, London and moved to Paris for six months where she trained and worked for Cartier.

After graduating from college in 1996 and deciding to become a self-employed designer jeweller she moved into her first workshop in the Pennybank Chambers (now Craft Central) in the Clerkenwell area in London.  During the first few years after setting up the business she also worked designing jewellery for Garrard & Co. and D.A.Soleys  but decided to concentrate fully on her own work in the Spring of 2000.

In 2004 she moved to her current workshop in Crystal Palace, South East London where she creates simple and elegant sculptural pieces for both special occasions and everyday wear. Her signature style is inspired by nature and her work has featured in both local and national publications. Each item is unique, hand-made from high quality precious metals, and often set with precious stones. She also runs jeweller-making workshops and teaches a small group of fledgling jewellers in her workshop.

Tine exhibits her rings, necklaces, bangles, cufflinks and earrings at fairs and shows around England and spends the rest of her time fine tuning the website A L’Etage 2that she founded in 2014.
