After training in ceramics at Loughborough College David Hilton lectured in ceramics for eight years., first at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and then Nottingham University. David then became a partner in Crich Pottery, Derbyshire, producing ranges of hand made stoneware.

     

In 1985 David Hilton Tableware was established, producing cutlery with co-ordinating tableware and accessories from a small pottery in Wimbledon, South London. Over the years the scope of his work has been extended in variety. A wide range of dishwasher and microwave safe items are now available in many colourful and decorative glazes.
