Charlotte Grinling is a local designer-maker who has lived in and worked in South London for 25 years. She studied at Central St Martins and the Royal College of Art and began her career as a textile designer. She then moved into design and colour forecasting for homewares, working with many of the major British retailers and manufacturers.

In parallel to running her own design consultancy, Charlotte was a lecturer on the Design BA at Goldsmiths for 20 years.

In 2013 Charlotte returned to her roots as a designer-maker. She now designs and makes hand-thrown ceramics; her aim is to make things that are simple, usable and beautiful.

Her longstanding experience of working with form, materials, colour and texture is evident in her work. Her key influences are modern Scandinavian and mid 20th century design.

Her work has been exhibited in both Bath and London
